The Regional Library “P.R. Slaveikov” in VelikoTarnovo renamed its specialized department for high-school students and adults. It is called now “Snejana Ianeva”. Snejana Ianeva was an important engine for the librarianship in Bulgaria. In connection with her birthday and in her memory an evergreen tree was planted in the yard of the library-information center “Slaveiche”.

UniBIT planted a memorial tree in honour of the most prominent Bulgarian librarian in the last 30 years

A silver spruce was planted at the University of Library Science and Information Technology (UniBIT) in honour of the long-time president of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association (BBIA) and librarian Snejana Ianeva.
The initiatives of the National Library of Bulgaria "P.R. Slaveykov" on the occasion of the birth of the library leader Snejana Ianeva are numerous and profoundly meaningful.
The Regional Library in Gabrovo marked the anniversary of Sneja's birthday by publishing a short message and a link to the Snejana Ianeva Memorial Page on its website.
On March 8, the birthday of Snejana Ianeva, The Regional Library in Montana started a Week of Gratitude to the woman who devoted her life to the libraries.
With gratitude and appreciation, the library team prepared a multimedia presentation that traces the life and professional development of Snejana Ianeva, as well as moments from her working visits to Montana.
The International Women's Day March 8 is also the birthday of Snejana Ianeva. In memory of this remarkable woman and her patriotic work for the benefit of Bulgarian libraries, which received international recognition, a wreath was laid at the memorial plaque in her home in Dimitrovgrad.
On the occasion of the International Women's Day on March 8, Memorial Fund “Snejana Ianeava” sends greetings to all women working for Bulgarian libraries and sincerely thanks those who took part in the first Memorial Week on the occasion of Sneja's birth date - March 8. 1952.
In memory of Snejana Ianeva, librarians from the libraries in the Municipality of Samokov gathered in the Municipal Library to pay tribute to her work. Chief Librarian Albena Ihtimanska presented Snejana’ rich biography and emphasized her role as an inspirer and an engine of many significant library campaigns and initiatives, which gave a huge impetus to the development of libraries in Bulgaria. She described with deep nostalgia her memories of the meetings and their work together.
