On the eve of the Day of National Revival Leaders, a memorial plaque in honor of Snejana Ianeva for her lifetime patriotic work in volunteer service to Bulgarian Libraries and Cultural Heritage, was placed at her birthplace home, where her private archive will be collected.

On October 15, 2020, the Bulgarian Library and Information Association posthumously awarded Snejana Ianeva with the annual Lifetime Achievement award (2019) for her outstanding contributions to the development and modernization of Bulgarian libraries from 1990 until her untimely death at the end of 2019.

In October 2020 Dr. Emilia Ianeva - Professor at the California State University, granted through the Memorial Fund the first scholarship named after Snejana Ianeva. It is for a Doctoral Graduate program at the University in Library Studies and Information Technologies (UniBIT).

The Regional Library “Zaharii Kniajevski” will participate in the eighth edition of the European programming week. It will take place between 10-th and 26-th October. It will be dedicated to Snejana Ianeva

“Snejana Ianeva” Fund and BCause Foundation organize a campaign in honor of Snejana’s lifetime work and is a manifestation of gratitude for her patriotic deeds, interrupted by her untimely death. The campaign is entitled “3 Months of Honor for 30 Years Gratuitous Service for the Libraries”.

On December 26, 2019, we suddenly and unexpectedly lost one of the leaders in the field of librarianship and information in our country - Snejana Ianeva, a long-time President of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association. Her untimely death interrupted her great work not only as a skilful and inspiring leader of the association, who has been working entirely on voluntary basis, but also as an accomplished and effective Chairman of the Global Libraries - Bulgaria Foundation and as a long-time and a respected Director of the Information Resource Center at the US Embassy in Bulgaria.

Snejana Ianeva’s name will be given to the main hall at the Dimitrovgrad Library “Penio Penev”. Snejana is one of the leaders in the library-information sphere in Bulgaria, for many years an erudite and honored President of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association, Chair of the Global Libraries Foundation -Bulgaria and Director of the Information Resource Center at the USA Embassy in Bulgaria. The Municipal  Council will discuss the proposal on the forthcoming session on 24-th September. The report is presented by Gergana Krasteva - the Chairperson of the local parliament and by the President of the Municipal Commission on culture, religion and mass media.
