Week of appreciation in Regional Library"Geo Milev" – Montana

On March 8, the birthday of Snejana Ianeva, The Regional Library in Montana started a Week of Gratitude to the woman who devoted her life to the libraries.

With gratitude and appreciation, the library team prepared a multimedia presentation that traces the life and professional development of Snejana Ianeva, as well as moments from her working visits to Montana.

The chronicle includes a video recording of the speech of Mrs. Anelia Ivanova - Todorova - Director of RL "Geo Milev" - Montana, which she read at the Memorial of Snejana Ianeva in January 2020.  Photos of the initiatives in her memory organized by libraries around the country are also shown. The biographical multimedia presentation will be broadcast on a large monitor in the central lobby of the library, during the Memorial week from 8 to 12 March 2021, every day, from 11:00 AM and from 4:00 PM.

During this time, library visitors will have the opportunity to view an exhibition of periodicals that reflect the contributions of Snejana Ianeva to the development and modernization of Bulgarian Libraries.

The construction of the "Memorial Garden in Memory of Snejana Ianeva" located at the entrance of the library continues in April. Around the already planted Silver Pine tree, a bench will be placed with a design thematically related to the books and arranged with flowers. The goal is to turn the Memorial garden into an outdoor reading area.
